I keep reading on various posts that some people use a wet application method on dry films (PS and SGP).
Can you share your techniques and experiences using the wet apply on these films? Also is the adhesion as good as when applied dry?
I am interested since I have never had problems with dust, but I do have problems aligning it properly.
Aslo some questions about the SGP oleophobic:
1. Meltdownblitz mentioned in another thread that now instead of the single large speaker/cam cutout they have two separate ones. Do you have any pics? That single cutout was the only thing keeping me away from the oleo.
2. Why there is no back protector version of the SGP Oleo?

OK we know apple supposedly has some kind of super secret planned for the Final Cut meet thats supposed to begin in a few minutes...
Now, I'm going to make my own personal leap of logic here based on rumblings over the last few weeks.
Touch screen tablet, newton 2, multitouch tablet.
Now here we have final cut.
Even though the product isn't exactly geared towards just that I can almost see some kind of Wacom Cintiq apple device. Multitouch gestures, pen input for graphics editing, tablet format. Basicly a handheld multimedia editing platform for pros. Maybe would need to link to a Mac Pro as it won't itself be able to process the graphics of an HD Video or something similarly intensive.
Yea I know my head is in the clouds but it would be a fun toy.

Would I notice any bump in speed for graphics programs? (My desktop has been reliable but occasionally quirky).I was using a 12" 1.33GHz PB and then got the 20" 2.0GHz iMacG5... I only do a mild bit of photoshop fiddling and I could notice a definite difference.
I love this machine, *sigh* I'm typing on it right now! I would definitely recommend it.

Yes, I know that now, but that is one of the few things I wasn't able to figure out myself on OS X.

Yes it is a dual 500gb drive system. Both are set up as single drives, not RAID. Never been cloned. Yes I am using snow leopard server that came unlimited with the machine.
This change in name came from the server software somehow. I was able with no issues change it back to the way it was using the server admin software and going in as remote user. No issues. It has since stayed in this setup as it had for over a year now. I double checked all the machines in the home and all the devices the kids come over with, ipads, iphones, laptops etc. and nothing is even close to the server names. I just don't have a clue as to why it would all of a sudden report that another machine with the same name was on the network and then allow it and change it's own name. It seems to me that it would have not allowed the other machine period until IT changed its name.

After some research my top 3 sorted options are:
1.- OCZ Vertex 2 120GB
2.- Intel X25-M 120GB
3.- Samsung 470 Series 128GB
I will be using it as my boot drive for Mac OS X 10.6.7, any suggestion which one would be the best option for speed ?, thanks
I don't think there is a "best".
I've been using the OCZ Vertex 2 120GB in my MP and it's been 100% stable (zero sleep issues) and hasn't slowed down in 8+ months of use.

The ad is very misleading. The auction is over so there's nothing to change that. I'm very sure the seller must think it's new. No way a refurbished one sells for that much when a brand new one can be bought for less than that unlocked on Ebay from what I have seen.

The new one has some improvements in internal layout, cooling, and expandability.
If you do not plan on upgrading the machines while you own them -- then buying on cost alone shouldn't be much of a problem during ownership, since performance is similar.
However, if you plan on doing a lot of heavy optical burning (or see the need to keep optical up-to-date or need more than one), if you see the need a bunch of HDs, or you plan on keeping the CPU up-to-date -- then the newer one may make a little more sense.

Well, I wouldn't say it is brutal to the point of being unplayable. The point of the game is to collect these things called "Spectra" in each level. You do this by getting your character to climb higher and explore more of the levels. But you have a limited time to do this. That is where the difficulty comes in. The mechanic of the game is very easy to grasp and pretty easy to master. It is the time limit that gives me the most problems.
It is a very fun game though. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression. The game, as with all of the PixelJunk games, is very fun and has a very unique graphical look and great soundtrack. Easily worth a purchase from the PSN.
Just played around with the demo. It seems fun, I might actually get it. I'm going to sleep on it first though. I tend to make decisions I regret when it's late at night. :p

On iTunes, using the search function in iMix and here's my dilemna. Always wanted a search to find an iMix, and now that I can do that. i don't know what to search for. My first search for an iMix, I type the word "song".
What kind of songs are you looking for?
You could try searching for a genre (i.e., "rock" or "jazz") or searching for a theme (i.e., "driving music").

Have you tried a PRAM and/or SMC reset already?
PRAM/NVRAM has nothing to do with the OP's issue.
Mac OS X: What's stored in PRAM (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1242)
When to reset NVRAM or PRAM (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1895)
SMC might help with some fan, unexpected power-offs or slow performance issues, but not heat-related shutdowns, as the OP described.
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964)

omg, all this to work at a friggin retail store?!?! I thought you were applying for work at 1 Infinite Loop or something and "creative" meaning you were designing products... someone explain to me why would anyone want to work at a mall store?
It's not just a mall store, Apple is nothing like any other mall store. First no mall stores offer full benefits & retirement packages to there employee's only managers and above. Second the benefits and hands on training is incredible and they use you and train you so that you will be ready to work at 1 Infinity Loop or Maden, NC at the billion dollar facility. Plus they give you all the training in the world to be a teacher, educate another, work for other companies using Mac products and the list goes on and on. Yes they have an intense application process but once you're in with Apple you connections will never seise to grow. The atmosphere as well is fun, exciting and different than any other store.

Actually, they were all Canon units. Looked great and worked very well in the beginning.
That was my reason for being vague about any specific brand, all multifuntion units leave a lot to be desired in the quality department.
There ain't no free lunch. The only reason that all the manufacturers can offer such seemingly good value for money, is because they cut corners where you can't see - at least not at first anyhow.
That's sad. Canon had a bad reputation for consumer printers when the Bubble Jet line arrived but I thought that they were doing anything to stay away from that.
Well, there is one place where Epson cut corners on the CX6400--the USB 2.0 cable. It's extremely short but better to have the requisite, speedy cable included. Compared to the C84, the CX6400 was expensive--the C86/CX6600 shows a similar price differential. I'm completely surprised that I haven't had troubles as I've read plenty about people with C84s having problems.
I would suggest that paying around $100 for an all-in-one is inviting trouble, though.

I also have a pair. They're a perfect complement to my iPhone when used with the headset.
About the bass response, I've found that getting a great, punchy, and tight kick sound depends mainly on the fitting of the earbuds. Achieving an air-tight seal is critical for this.
All in all a great pair of earbuds!
