vengaiah: Fill the I-9 form and send it to your company B with a copy of your EAD, fill in the direct deposit form ( or take cash :) ) and you are good to go.
You will have submit a new I-9 with a copy of your EAD to your company A - as your will status will be "Pending AOS" from the moment you start working for company B using EAD and You are no longer in non-immigrant status (H1B).

Can you get second OPT doing a different Master's though you already had Master's. Did something change? The last I checked, you could get your second OPT only if you complete a higher degree like PhD than what you have.
Please advice. Thanks

Here is the USCIS official URL page/ press release:
http://www.uscis.gov/files/article/premproc_22jun09.pdf
Now the PERM takes 2years... whats the difference for new guys? My friend stuck in labour for almost 15 months now. got RFE, replied to it and stood stand still..
But this helps for someone who filed during July'07 fiasco and waiting though. I got mine approved in late feb'09 (filed in July 07).
Something is better than nothing.... :-)

CIS is bound by law to not accept early AOS applications. It depends on State published visa dates. So if we can work with State dept to have them publish the dates for Visa posts for CP as they do today (Which is faster) and add CIS processing delay to the Dates and publish second set of dates for AOS which always be atleast 2 years or more added to current dates published by State.
This gives chance to people, who missed their chance to file in AOS in 2007 July. They can atleast get benefits of AC21 in this tough economy.

I have found this
http://www.murthy.com/news/n_nscuna.html
and this
http://www.greencardapply.com/news/news05/news05_0825.htm
Does a transfer within the same company to a different position require a new h1? Is the time spent working considered 'unauthorized' if the H1 is not transferred?

You are good till the end of your original H1 regardless of the outcome of the extension... the catch is, you have to maintain H1 status.. meaning get paid, no benching etc.,

it is around $27 and I got both H1 and EAD.
It is a huge difference.
Are you getting like $150/hr rate?
What do you do?

In the I-140, Immigration Petition for Alien Worker, under Basic information about proposed employment, in the Wages per week column it is written as $XX,XXX/yr.
Is this the amount my employer offered in the full time position that he offered while processing my GC?
Do I have to make sure my salary with new employer should be more than $XX,XXX/yr?
Also my original employer who filed my GC mentioned my designation as Software Engineer Applications, Do I need to have same designation in the new firm? Or can it be anything under Software Engineering like design, programming, analysis, developer, data quality, testing etc?
